Introduction

We’ve all been there — reading an article, browsing through information, or maybe even diving into research on various topics. When you come across a term or idea you’re unfamiliar with, what’s the first instinct?

You highlight the text, copy it, open a new tab, head over to ChatGPT (or some other tool), paste the text, and finally ask your question.

If you’re like me, you’ve probably thought: “Wouldn’t it be great if I could just right-click and get this searched instantly on ChatGPT?”

Well, that’s exactly what I thought. So, I decided to turn that thought into reality by creating a Chrome extension that makes this process as simple as possible.

As someone who constantly uses ChatGPT for quick queries, explanations, and even brainstorming, I realized that switching between tabs and copying/pasting text was becoming a bit of a hassle. It’s a small inconvenience, sure, but it interrupts the flow of what you’re doing, especially when you’re deep into research or work.

How does this work?

Select text on any webpage.
Right-click to access a context menu option that says “Search ChatGPT with [your selected text]”.
Automatically open ChatGPT in a new tab, inject the text into the input box, and submit the query.

Now, instead of the old multi-step routine, you can simply highlight text, right-click, and instantly search it on ChatGPT in seconds. 🚀

Final Thoughts
